Production Description
Ferro silicon magnesium is a ferrosilicon alloy comprosed of magnesium, calcium, manganese, and rare earth. It’s commonly known as ferro silicon magnesium (MgFeSi) nodularizer.
The rare earth magnesium Ferrosilicon alloy is gray-black solid. It is a good spheroidizing agent with strong deoxidation and desulfurization effects.

How to product Ferro Silicon Magnesium?
Ferrosilicon, rare earth metal and magnesium metal are the main raw materials for producing rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy. The production of rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy is carried out in submerged arc furnace, which consumes a lot of electricity. It can also be produced in medium frequency furnace. In the process of cast iron, the additive added to the molten iron to make graphite precipitate in a spherical shape is called spheroidizing agent. The spheroidizing agent containing rare earth elements is called rare earth spheroidizing agent.

Application
1. Ferro silicon magnesium nodularizers are widely used in producing ductile iron for machineries like cars and tractors.
Ferro Silicon Magnesium Nodulizer is one of the most important additives in the production process of spheroidal graphite iron. As an additive, it can crystallize the graphite in cast iron into a ball shape.
2. Ferro silicon magnesium is a common additive used in the steel making industry.
Ferro silicon magnesium is useful as an alloy agent to refine, deoxidize, denaturate, and neutralize hazardous contaminants(eg: Pb, As) with a lower melting point. Through solid solution alloying, ferrosilicon magnesium aids in the creation of new metal compounds with these impurities, thereby enhancing steel purification.
