Production Description
Ferromanganese is composed of manganese and iron. It is a commonly used deoxidizer desulfurizer and reduces the harmful effects of sulfur. FeMn is widely used in alloy steels such as structural steel, tool steel, stainless heat-resistant steel, and wear-resistant steel. Smelting stainless steel can replace the scarce metal nickel.

How to produce Ferro Manganese?
Ferro Manganese is an alloy with a high percentage of manganese, which is made by heating a mixture of oxides, MnO2, and Fe2O3 with high carbon content in a blast furnace or an electric arc furnace-type system. Ferro Manganese is used as a deoxidizer and desulfurizer for the production of steel.

Application
1. Ferromanganese is used as an essential deoxidizer and desulfurizer in the steelmaking industry.
In the steelmaking industry, approximately 3 to 5kg of 75% ferromanganese is consumed per ton of steel produced.
2. Ferromanganese is used as an inoculant and nodularizing agent.
3. Ferromanganese used in ferroalloy production. It can be used as a reducing agent in the ferroalloy industry.
4. Ferromanganese powder can be used as a suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and as a coating for welding rods in the welding rod manufacturing industry.
